Relax - changing careers just got easy

Hello! I'm Kat J.. As a first-generation college graduate, I know the importance of opportunity. After graduating in 2009 in the middle of the housing crisis, I also know how it feels to struggle in the job-market. After a two seasons of dead-end job searching, I decided to go overseas and teach English in South Korea. I enjoyed myself and pursued teaching when I came back to the states. After being accepted into the Teaching Fellows program, I began my teaching career in America. I did not like it! I was overwhelmed, stressed, and burning out fast. I had to make a change. Using methods I now teach in my course, I transitioned into College Career Advising, and then to Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. I moved to New York City where I went from entry-level to director-level in four short years. I haven't looked back since!
